Francis Cordelia Soileau Hanks Stark

Francis Cordelia Soileau Hanks (b. March 18, 1851; d. June 26, 1948) first married William "Billy" Hanks on Nov. 8, 1873 in Opelousas, Louisiana.  

Her second husband was  Rufus A. "Ike" Stark (d. Feb. 13, 1936). She is buried at  Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, near Branch, Louisiana next to her second husband, Rufus A. "Ike" Stark.

1)  Photo: (Circa 1890) Front row, left to right, Francis Cordelia Soileau Hanks (wife of William Hanks), Lucy Hanks (b. 1881; d. ca. 1899 - never married), Mary Elizabeth Hanks (b. June 4, 1884; d. Dec. 8, 1957 - married William Nathan Huckaby), Benton Horace Hanks (b. Aug. 25, 1887; Sept. 14, 1929 - married Edna "Charlie" Oliver).  Back row, left to right, Arthur Allen Hanks (my great-grandfather, (b. Aug. 27, 1877; d. Aug. 22, 1942, first married Mary Stark and then Gertrude Jenkins), Alice Dore Hanks  (b. Feb. 17, 1875; d. Mar. 28, 1948 - married Robert Carter) and Caroline Hanks (b. Feb. 16, 1879; d. Feb. 27, 1950 - married William Richard).

2)  Photo:  (1938) Francis Cordelia Soileau Hanks and her son (and my maternal great-grandfather) Arthur Allen Hanks.

3)  Photo:  Francis Cordelia Soileau Hanks Stark and her second husband Rufus A. "Ike" Stark. He was the son of John M. Stark and brother to Mary Stark Oliver Hanks.  Francis Cordelia Soileau Hanks Stark second husband (Rufus A. "Ike" Stark) was a brother to her son (Arthur Allen Hanks) first wife (Mary Stark Oliver Hanks), Wow!
