I am searching for more information about Beasley PREWITT (PRUITT) married Lucy SIMS, lived in Rapides Parish pre-1800 to 1820's. Also Benjamin M. GREEN married Cindiarille PREWITT (PRUITT), lived in Rapides Parish 1800's - 1820's. Finally, William KELLAR (KELLER) married Minerva POUNDS lived in Rapides Parish 1830's - 1850's. Looking for information on Henry GREENWOOD from Pineville, LA. It is believed he was married to Lucyinda GREENWALL ?. He had a son and daughter. The son was Coleman GREENWOOD, who later lived in Lake Charles, LA. Coleman married Florence MAYER, daughter of Bernard MAYER. The daughter was Betty (Bettie) GREENWOOD. She married Robert AARON. Henry was found in the 1860 census as a mercantile store owner. It is believed that he died about October 1865. Would like to find the name of his wife, parents and as much data on this families as is available.

Richard GREEN brought his family to La. 1790's earliest record we have...signed the Pintado Papers...it's also said he was a Doctor(?)...Some of his children were Phillip, Reason and Benjamin(b/@1810 La.)...he had 2 or 3 daughters as well.They lived not far from the BOWIE family.Around 1822 ,Reason mrrd and moved to Texas near Orange and Liberty,Tx.Several other family members soon followed him to Texas by 1830. Any info. on this family and their origins would be appreciated...I will share info. I am researching James RUTLEDGE and Ann OWENS parents of Joseph RUTLEDGE (born in Georgia on November 24, 1787) and Esther Susannah ROBERT (born in Beaufort District, SC on March 29, 1783). Joseph and Esther RUTLEDGE were married in Woodville, MS. They moved to Rapides Parish and died in Rapides Parish. Their son Joseph Sadler RUTLEDGE enlisted in the Civil War from Rapides Parish and died at Shappsburg. During the war Joseph Sadler RUTLEDGE'S wife Nancy Catherine COWAN moved to Ouachita Parish near her brother John COWAN. Joseph S. RUTLEGE and Nancy Catherine COWAN were married in Ouachita Parish on March 14, 1854. I would like to visit the gravesites of Joseph and Esther RUTLEDGE and find out where their homeplace was in Rapides Parish. If you can find the graveyard they are buried in, it would save me some traveling and research time. What library in Rapides has their land and cemetary records?

Samuel was the son of Polycarpe LAMOTHE and Editha WELLS (Possibly also known as 'Zoe'), daughter of Samuel Levi WELLS I and Dorcas HUIE.
