Have you visited the site of the Historical Association of Central Louisiana?
Email messages
were sent to everyone with a query posted on the Rapides Parish LAGenWeb site.
Many people had bad or outdated email addresses.

Howard Baulch posted many tombstone photos from the Hemphill Star Cemetery on his personal site. He says, "It's not a complete listing, but it does offer some newer
information than contained in Jane Parker McManus' 1990 transcription." Click here and then click on Hemphill Star
Cemetery.

A section
of unidentified Rapides Parish photographs has been added. To start, there are
24 photos that are probably students of Bolton High School.
Do you recognize any of them

About the USGenWeb Project
|
In March and
April 1996 a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive
Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all
counties in Kentucky where collected databases would be stored. In addition,
the databases would be indexed and cross-linked so that even if an individual
were found in more than one county they could be located in the index.
At the same
time volunteers were found who were willing to coordinate the collection of
databases and generally oversee the contents of the web page. The Louisiana
USGenWeb Project is an extension of the KY USGenWeb Project. The person
responsible for Rapides Parish is
Morgan Edward Johnson
. Please contact me if you have a desire to add your data to the database.
