I am searching for any information on my great-grandfather Amiel HOLMES. He is buried in the Lone Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineville. He had 4 children, all of which are deceased and 3 are buried in the same cemetery. My grandfather was Edward HOLMES, b 11-24-1900 d 11-1942.

Looking for information on Levi BASS (there are 2 of these in my family). My greatgrandfather is Levi BASS whose father was Levi BASS, I know that he was in Rapides Parish and was married to Sarah YOUNGER and at some point they were in TX. Any help???

Joseph ROMEO m Cologera FESTALDI in 1907 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Family knew her as Mary Roselli. Both names appear on documents. She and Joseph may have worked on a plantation. I am looking for information on a William JUSTICE who was born c 1785 in Georgia, and was living in Rapides Parish, La. prior to the War of 1812. William Justice married Mary, who was born c 1795 in Tenn. William Justice served in the War of 1812. I once saw an index to Old Natchecdoes Land Grants which listed William Justice with surveys in the 1820s. Can't find out who to contact regarding those early land deeds and grants. William and Mary Justice had a son Stephen J. Justice who was b:c1816 in La. Stephen Justice and his wife Elizabeth had two daughters: Elizabeth "Eliza" b: 1843 and Louisa b: 1848 in La. Louisa JUSTICE married William Riley LAMBERT, from whom I descend.

I am searching for information about my Great Grandfather, Osborn S. WILLIS. Osborn was born in Rapides Parish on 17 Feb 1873 and died on 24 Dec 1916 in Rapides Parish. He was killed in a gunfight with a man named Peter PERKINS. I would like to find out more about Osborn's death and to learn what happened to Mr. Perkins.
