JONES, WARHURST posted by Carol Jones Chakurda on Friday, September 5, 1997

Henry JONES was born in Wales and immigrated to Canada. From Canada he went to Alexandria, Louisiana before moving to California where he died in 1896. Henry was a Professor of Foreign Language and is believed to have taught at a college in or around Alexandria, Rapides, Louisiana. Henry's wife was named Georgette or Georgetta, surname unknown. They had the following children: Henry, Joe, George B., b. 4 Jan 1884 and Henrietta who married someone named WARHURST, possibly in California. I'm looking for any documentation for Henry and his family. I have no documentation for any of this so far, including births of children and marriage to Georgetta. Also need land records if he owned any land, and records from the college at which he taught. I also need the parenta of both Henry & Georgetta JONES. Any help appreciated! I can reimburse copying fees and postage OR trade for research in Virginia.
