SALES posted by Joseph Sales on Sunday, June 29, 1997

Looking for information on James Monroe SALES, born Jan. 2, 1848, supposedly raised near Anacoco; date of death unknown. Buried at Pruitt's Chapel cemetery near Anacoco. No headstone. Shows up in 1900 Federal Popluation Census in Vernon Parrish. Census shows father/mother born in LA. Looking for records of parents of James Monroe SALES. I believe Rapides Parish was the birth place of the James Monroe SALES. I'm hoping that there is a record of a SALES family with a son James circa 1850-60.
