Stephen LYNCH was born in Ireland in 1756 and came to Chester Co PA before the Revolution. He had several children including a son Stephen LYNCH Jr. who was born in PA and married Rachel BARTON, who was either the sister or daughter of Thomas BARTON and his wife Margaret SAMPLE. Stephen LYNCH Jr.and Rachel had at least two children Matthew Henry born in 1815 and Mary Ann.
