HEBERT posted by Terry Downes on Monday, April 30, 2001

I am looking for information on a Elbert HEBERT and a Miss Molly that were in Alexandria abt. 1896 to 1900. Elbert was a Pharmacist in Alexandria that made candy in the back of the Pharmacy. My Granddad's parents died abt. 1896 in Hearne Tex. leaving three orphans. The Hebert's were living next door in Hearne and took care of them before they were sent to three different orphanages. They later moved to Alexandria. My Granddad was sent to the Methodist Home in Waco, Tex. He later left the home and went to stay with the Hebert's in Alexandria. He often talked about makeing candy in the back room of the store. I haven't found the Hebert's on the census. I would just like to more about the Hebert's and the Pharmacy, any information would be appreciated.
