Looking for any information about Mary E. CHANEY, possibly CHENEY, born in Cheneyville about 1795. She was married to Unknown RAWLINS. Their daughter Elizabeth Mary RAWLINS, born 1821 in Cheneyville, married Elijah Burnham SPENCE in 1839, probably in Louisiana.

My father, Robert Edward CHENEY was born in Lone Pine or Cheneyville Feb.2, 1920. His father was Thomas Blan CHENEY and mother Annie Viola BENNETT Cheney. She was orphaned at age 9, her parents were Johnney William and Mary Jones Bennett. Annie was married at 13 to an older man, Willie Shue and was widowed at 16 with 2 young daughters, Ethel and Maggie. She married Thomas about 1917 and they had 5 sons. Thomas's parents were William R and Ida Fussell Cheney. Sons:John Thomas, Robert Edward, William Blan, Walter David, Richard Calvin. Most of these descendents are around Houston and Conroe, Tx area and some are in Calif. I would like any information that connects more with your area for my fathers earlier ancestors.

I am looking for information on Edmond CHARRIER b.Feb. 6, 1846 and d.Feb. 12, 1905. His second wife was Evilia Bordelon and they had 2 children: Argie (my maternal grandfather) and Theresa. In particular, I am trying to find where he is buried. Any info would be appreciated.

Looking for any info on Oscar SHADEL in Rapides Parish in 1890. His last name may have originally been SHALEY, but not sure. His mother was Alice PRIMUS (not sure is spelling is correct) who died in Orange, Texas.

Searching for anyone that knows of Oscar SHADEL, born in Rapides in or about 1880. He may have even gone by the last name SHALEY. He moved to Orange, Texas and married Maggie then died in 1935 in Oriville, California. By the time he moved to California he had changed his name to SHADELL. I'm trying to find any info on his parents. He is listed as Mulatto. Thank you for any of your consideration.

Searching for information on Corrance CROWDER known to have resided in Alexandria. Railroad engineer or brakeman? married Lydia (possibly surname ELDREDGE) Brother of Bert CROWDER m. Emilie Ethel ROUGEAU. Following family deaths in tornado incident, others in family were buried in Glenmora cemetery. His wife Lydia was active in Eastern Star and it is believed that he was a church elder and Masonic Temple member. She was active in ceramic work as well and seems to have been known for her dolls. Any information on Corrance and his ancestors greatly appreciated

I am tracing the "Gillard" family. Joseph GILLARD was forced to leave France and settled in New Orleans. He or his family resettled in Rapides Parish. Sometime later, some of the Gillards relocated to Liberty county, Texas.

Iam looking for information on my grandmother, her name was Ethel Iola TILLIE. I am not sure as to the exact spelling of her last name. She married Edward LEWIS. They resided in the Rapides Parish area for the duration of their lives. She died at the age of 28. Any information would be helpful and much appreciated!
