SULLIVAN posted by Angela Sullivan Hunt on Friday, February 6, 2004

I am looking for information about Johnny and Elizabeth SULLIVAN. I know they lived on a rural route in or near Cheneyville. Both were probably born in the late 1800's or early 1900's. I met them in 1963 when I was a child. Any info, birth records or death records, knowledge of any family in the area would be appreciated.

BELL, BURNS, HOLLAND, HUGHES, LONG posted by Kelly Holland-Vaughn on Sunday, February 15, 2004

HOLLAND, BURNS, LONG, HUGHES. I am the great granddaughter of George A. HOLLAND who was married to Buelah M. LONG. I am looking for records of my great great grandfather and mother. It is believed that her maiden name may be BURNS. They resided in Rapides Parish in the 1850's. HOLLAND, BELL, BURNS, LONG - I am looking for my great great grandparents names, birthdates, deaths and where they might be buried. My great grandparents names and marriage date was: Andrew G. HOLLAND to Beulah M. LONG on July 9, 1885 in Rapids Parish, LA. I would also like information on A.G. Holland's brothers and sister. I have information from the family Bible and will share info if anyone is interested. Thank you. I am searching for information on my greatgrandfather, Andrew G. HOLLAND, who married Miss E. Jane BELL, on 2-29-1876 and then married Miss Beulah M. LONG, on 7-9-1885. They lived in Rapides Parish and Andrew died on 10-12-1912. I know he had at least one son, Edward HOLLAND by Jane BELL and then had several children by Beulah LONG, including my grandfather Robert C. HOLLAND. His sister Elizabeth HOLLAND married Edward BURNS on 9-2-1874. And his brother Robert C. HOLLAND married Mary E. BELL on 9-2-1874. Any information on these relatives would be appreciated, including the death and interment of E. Jane BELL.

WHARTON, Willie L. MD. Date of death May 16, 1934. I have a death cert. for my great uncle. He resided at 809 Elliott St. (Alex? Pineville? Other?) Would be interested in a newspaper article concerning his death, survivors, etc. The cert. says he was married but gives no name. Family resided in DeSoto Parish so I don't know if he practiced in Rapides or just died there. I would love to hear from a researcher who has come across any info about him.

MORGAN posted by Grant A. Van_Vranken on Monday, March 29, 2004

I am looking for any information on relatives of mine that lived in Rapides. Marshall Monroe MORGAN is my GG uncle. He lived there and is buried there also. His daughter listed his place of burial as "Clearwater, Rapides, Louisiana" I am trying to find out if his father is buried at the same place. His father was Herman B. MORGAN (1860- abt 1935) in 1930 Marshall was living in Avoyelles with his wife and two step children, his father and brother. I would like to know if anyone can help me with this family. I would eventually like to order a copy of Herman Morgan's death certificate, but I cannot find out when or where he died except that it was around 1935 and my grandmother thought is was in Bunkie Avoyelles.

He married Caroline LAMOTT December 28, 1868 in Alexandria. They had a son named Denis Pembrook who was born in 1870. I believe that Ed's father's name was Denis Pembrook who was born in Maryland.
