I just received a copy of my grandfather's Social Security Application and have the correct names for his parents. My grandfather was Abner GIBSON, and his parents, Uriah GIBSON and Minerva WILLIAMS, were married in Rapides Parish on 9/4/1878. Abner was born June 15, 1881 in Rapides Parish. His siblings included Alice, Emma, Ophelia, Susie, J. M., Catherine, and Lewis.
