Looking for any info on Green B. SMITH (b.1800-1827 in MS) m. Asenath LEE (b.1811-1827) married bef. 1871. This family was in Rapides, La. by 1879, untill at least 1900 when daughter married there. Know children. Porter, Dora, Missouie Emmeline (b.1872 MS), Leon, M.L. (b. 1879 La)., W.H. (b.1880), and two others name not know. Missouie married Henry Preston ELLIS 28Jul1892 in Rapides, La. and Willaman B. MCGRAW 04Apr1900 in Rapides, La. Leon married Elvina Louise MARTIN 25Jan1894 in Washington Church, La. M.L. married about 1906 in Rapides, La (only know her as L.G.). W.H. SMITH died 30Jan1926 in Lake Charles, burried in city cemetery.

Winny EASON, born 1799 in Georgia, is listed as head of household in the 1850 Census, living in Rapides Parish, LA, along with children: John EASON, Mehala EASON, Seaborn EASON,& Pamela EASON. Seaborn Eason was living in Texas 1870. Any information would be appreciated!!

I am researching the JUSTICE family. William JUSTICE served in the War of 1812 as an officer and had a son Stephen Jackson JUSTICE b: 1816 LA. Stephen evidently obtained land here and was for a period in Texas and then re-settled in LA. He had a daughter Louisa JUSTICE who during the 1880s married William Riley LAMBERT. I need any info. on the early JUSTICE families in LA., there during the period of the War of 1812, who evidently came from Georgia. Thanks & happy Hunting!

info on Absalom HARPER B abt 1780. M 1806 clarke CO GA sons Samuel, Jesse, Alexander, Elmore, Absolom. Abt 1808 moved to MSs. Simpson CO officers 1826. Father Alexander Sr. Signed petion MS teritory 1812. Died 1830. abt 1845 Absalom may have moved to Jackson Parish LA with son Samuel who owned land in Caliborne Par 1860 and member of Rapides Lodge 158 in 1861. Charter member Sam Todd Lodge 182, 1867 Baptist Minister. Died 26 July 1882 Buried at ?? Family Bible??. Seeking infor from Newspaper, court, birth and death notice from 1810 to present on this HARPER family from GA, MS, AR, LA.

Looking for information on Joseph SMITH who was born 1836 in MS, married Vashti WELLS of MS, and was in Rapides Parish, LA, by 1860. They had 5 children: Emma, Samanthy, Abe, Kenneth, and Joseph. In the summer of 1863 Joseph (Sr.) and the three middle children died, fairly close together.
