I am looking for info on my g,g,Grandfather Thomas Jeferson MUSTAIN, who lived some where in Rapides Parish, he was in the 2nd LA. C A V Company G in the civil war. His mother is a HOLLOWAY from Holloway prairie her name is Jane HOLLOWAY she married James T. MUSTAIN abt. 1840( one thing I am looking for is cemetaries that thay mey be baried in for I live in Ohio it is hard for me to come down there to look.

Does anyone have access to newspapers from Rapides Parish dating from 1925-27? I am looking for article about Seymor AUTREY being killed on the Indian creek Bridge in Alexandria. A 92 year old cousin remembers this happening. He is not sure of year. Seymor was buried in Grant Parish, Georgetown Cemetery.

I am looking for any information on John Fred SPIKES who married Elizabeth SERMON. Elizabeth was born Feb. 14, 1842 and died April 12, 1932 in Alexandria, LA. In all the census I have found Elizabeth in with the exception of one year with her husband she lived with her daughter Matilda SPIKES and son-in-law Henry Zealand RYLAND.

I am searching for information on Pleasant W PATTERSON born about 1809 in North Carolina, married to Mathilda Caroline ? of Georgia before 1838. Located in Sabine County, Texas in 1850 and Louisiana in 1870. Had 6 children, William Jasper, James Burton, Charles Gricee, Francis Marion, Malisa Caroline and James M. by 1862. I am looking for any birth records on James Dorby (or Darby) LONG, who was born in Tioga, Louisiana in June, 1924. His mother's name was Mabel. I am seeking information about my Grandparents and G- Grandparents, MCKENZIE and MCCAA. In the early to mid 1900s, James W. McKenzie Sr. owned a barbershop, Cleaners, and one of the first, if not the first, automobile dealership, in Alexandria. He had sons, James, George Brythal, Jack C., Joe A., and Leonard W, and one daughter Beatrice.
James Walter MCAA was an employee of the Alexandria Daily Town Talk for many years. He had sons Roy G., James, and one daughter, Rosa Dell.
